I have spent a good chunk of the day doing two things: 1) watching Doctor Who, 2) adding tags to all my posts, and 3) working on my new weekly segment, Saturday Spotlights. While I am taking a break from rounding up all of thttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_whohe wonderful interviews I have lined up for this new segment, I thought I would use the time to re-introduce the segment, and fill everyone in on what is to come in the news few weeks.

First, I would like to take this chance to shamelessly plug last weeks Saturday Spotlight, the very first, which featured an interview with the lovely Megan and Sara (a.k.a Padfoot and Prongs) from Good Books, Inc., a wonderful little blog which features lots of book reviews and other wonderfully fun and witty bookish and other content. They need to be on your feed readers or in your bookmarks or something, so go pay them a visit, and don’t forget to check out their interview on last weeks Saturday Spotlight.

Second, here is a little bit of an overview of what the purpose of the Saturday Spotlights. Every Saturday, or at least most of them, I will be spotlighting a website that I love, just for shits and giggles. I have been running around the interwebs for well over 10 years, and in that time I have run across so many personal sites/blogs that may not be well known, but that I feel should be. There are also many of those sites/blogs that are very well known, but I feel should get even more attention. The spotlights will sometimes include interviews with the people that run the sites/blogs, and sometimes it will just include a bunch of babble about why I love the site/blog and why you should be visiting it on a regular basis.

Third, I would like to give share a brief list next few Spotlights. For the next few weeks I will be highlighting mostly bookish sites, not because they are the only sites I visit, but because, at the moment, my favorites are fresh on the list of bookmarks, so it’s a good place to start. So, until i run out of book blogs to visit – Ii will mark that day on my calendar because that will be a day to remember, indeed – book blogs will be the first in line. Right, so now here’s the list of blogs that will be falling under the spotlight for the next few Saturdays. Be sure to come back an visit the site so you don’t miss a moment of the action. (I will let you know exactly what that action is when I figure it out myself, by the way)

Lastly, I invite you to leave links to those blogs you think need more attention. Even if you know they get plenty, who doesn’t love to shamelessly plug their favorite blogs? So, if you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment containing the link to the site you want to see in the spotlight, or send me a message via this contact form.

Saturday SpotlightI have decided that I am going to start my own weekly event entitled “Saturday Spotlight.” Every Saturday, or at least all of those I remember to do this on, I will be spotlighting a website that I love, just for shits and giggles. I have been running around the interwebs for well over 10 years, and in that time I have run across so many personal sites/blogs that may not be well known, but that I feel should be. There are also many of those sites/blogs that are very well known, but I feel should get even more attention.

Saturday Spotlight will sometimes include interviews with the people that run the sites/blogs, and sometimes it will just include a bunch of babble about why I love the site/blog and why you should be visiting it on a regular basis.
